CE Requirements for Marriage and Family Therapists (MFT) in Iowa

Licensed marriage and family therapists (LMFT) in Iowa are required to take 40 hours of continuing education every 2 years, including a minimum of 3 hours of ethics.

The renewal date for Iowa MFTs is September 30 of even-numbered years.

CE Approvals

At Health programs meet the continuing education criteria of chapter 645.32 for marriage and family therapists in Iowa. At Health, LLC is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. At Health, LLC maintains responsibility for this program and its content.

At Health, LLC has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider, ACEP No. 6949. Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credit are clearly identified. At Health, LLC is solely responsible for all aspects of the programs.
