Continuing Education for MFTs in South Dakota

CE requirements for SD marriage and family therapists (LMFT):

• Must complete 40 hours of continuing education every 2 years, including 4 hours of professional ethics
• Supervisors must complete also complete 4 hours of supervision among the 40 hours
• Board accepts online learning

CE Approvals

The South Dakota Board of Counselors and Marriage and Family Therapist Examiners accepts programs offered by NBCC approved providers. At Health, LLC has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider, ACEP No. 6949. Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credit are clearly identified. At Health, LLC is solely responsible for all aspects of the programs.

The South Dakota Board of Counselors and Marriage and Family Therapist Examiners accepts programs offered by APA approved providers. At Health, LLC is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. At Health, LLC maintains responsibility for this program and its content.
